information - Yelp review
I
agree with this reviewer, it's a fun
place to visit, there are a couple of
little art galleries and stores in town
as well. Great bird houses sold out
of the back of a truck for example.
The restaurant is located in an old
hotel in Valley Ford and the ambiance
is simple and pleasant. There is a lively
bar in the front room. The food is good,
and great appetizers to go with a drink
too.

In
Graton, Willow Wood Market.
This is a spot the locals frequent,
it's an old grocery store, sort
of funky looking, with interesting
nic nacs for sale and the food
is so delicious...meat, fish,
and vegetarian, good wine selection.
No reservations, go early, although
in the middle of the week you
shouldn't have to wait long.
Across the street is the Underwood,
which is a step up in cost, great place to go
for oysters, and I recommend it especially if
it's a hot day because then you can eat outside
on their patio where it is quieter. It is a bit
noisy inside. A very active bar where the young
and restless hang out in the evening.
Bistro des Copain ..In Occidental.
Small, fine and delicious food. Everything from
scallops, fine wine to pizza and oysters. Service
is great, food can be good and it's located in
a lovely litle village only 10 minutes from here!

MONK - Bistro menu, more
casual, a brewery with a good
selection of local (and otherwise)
beers . Their hamburgers and fries
are great. They also have good
salads as well as an eclectic
selection that appeals to local
tastes -- samosas, fish and chips,
spinach and pear salad for example.
The dark and comfortable booths
inside are welcoming and outside
there is a lovely patio where
live music is often available.

Syrah in

Rivers End near

Tandoori Grill is
a definitely a "room with a view".
The best view actually. For an early
evening dinner of Indian Cuisine
at a reasonable price go here.On
warm evenings there is a deck and
when it's cooler the view is framed
in huge windows with a complete
view of the Russian River Valley
and the mouth of the river going
into the Pacific Ocean. It is breathtaking,
and the food is good..Tandoori specialties,
curries. They have it all.
Zazu looks like
an old road house and is located
is on Guernville Road on the way
to Santa Rosa (10 to 15 minutes). The
desserts are as great as the meals
here. Their wine list is one of
the best for local Pinot Noirs.
Also, on Wed. Thurs. and Sunday
there is a Pizza and Pinot menu.
